Indulgences granted to those who wear the Five-fold Scapular.
Besides
the innumerable graces and indulgences annexed to this devotion,
the Popes have granted many Plenary and partial indulgences
to those who wear it.
Paul V.,
by his briefs of the 30th October, 1606, 31st August, 1609,
and 19th of July, 1614;Clement
X., in his Constitution of 8th May, 1673;Clement
XI., in his Constitution of 12th of May, 1710;Innocent
XI., by his Constitution of the 10th of February, 1680, and
on 1st September, 1682, have granted the following indulgences:
1. Four Plenary Indulgences
on the day of reception, when they have the four Scapulars,
provided they go to confession and receive Holy Communion, and
pray for the intention of the Church.
2. Four Plenary Indulgences
at the hour of death, if they receive the Sacraments.
3. A Plenary Indulgence
on the Festival of Our Lady of the Seven Dolors, on the usual
conditions.
4. A Plenary Indulgence
on Passion Sunday, if they meditate for some time on the sufferings
of Our Lord and of His Blessed Mother.
5. A Plenary Indulgence
of the Festival of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16; also whenever
other Confraternities have a Plenary Indulgence; on all the
festivals of Our Lord ; of the Blessed Virgin; and of the Apostles;
on any two days of every week, at their option; and on every
Friday, if the devoutly meditate for some time on the Passion
of Our Lord, receive the Sacraments , and pray for the intention
of the Church. (you should also mention for the intention of
the Holy Father)

keep one for yourself and offer the rest for the holy souls
in Purgatory, if they get out by your prayers they are so grateful

This is
our most popular antique medal and we don't
have a large inventory of it. The picture doesn't do it justice!
Absolutely gorgeous. I'm so happy that this medal was saved
for us all to enjoy! This particular medal is recast from
the year 1890.
The Latin
text on the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel side translates to "Mary
the Splendor of Carmel" while the Sacred Heart side reads
"Behold the very heart burning with such love for men".

Looks
absolutely stunning on a chain. Some folks make chaplets with
this medal. Other folks attach this medal to their rosaries.

Being that
the internet can be a very "cold" and "impersonal"

Let me introduce
"us". The "us" consists of my husband Walt
(a Numismatist who lends a hand to help when he can) and myself
(Wendy) and our twelve children. Children truly are a blessing
from the Lord. When we cooperate with the Lord and allow new life
to be created, we have actually given our Lord a gift, too...another
soul for eternity! How awesome is that?!
We also home
educate and try to live a simple life...raising chickens, organic
and hydroponic gardening, that kind of simple and fun stuff. We
hope to try our hand at Dexter cattle (a small breed) next Spring.
Connecting with nature connects us with God. Don't worry, you
won't find us hugging trees...we worship the CREATOR not the creation!
Most
importantly we like to let folks know right up front that our
family and this apostolate are totally consecrated to The Sacred
Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart Of Mary, in full obedience
to the magisterium of The Church. No funny stuff.
We strive to be obedient and devout Catholics!
We have been
around for over 12 years now! Our mission has always been to help
save
the innocent unborn and to draw folks closer
to the Catholic faith.
The Holy Spirit
has inspired us to keep this family ministry as "personal" as
