VINTAGE TESORO’S MANILA CARVED-WOOD HOLY FAMILY — FROM A NUNS’ CONVENT

Presented here is a beautiful vintage standing relief of the Holy Family, brought to us from a now-closed convent. ❤️

Carved from warm, richly grained wood, this tender image depicts the Child Jesus surrounded by the loving and protective presence of Our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph. Their three overlapping halos and peaceful expressions make this an especially beautiful reminder of the holiness, unity and love found within the home at Nazareth.

The carving stands upon its original wooden base and bears the maker’s label from Tesoro’s Manila, a respected Philippine retailer long known for traditional Filipino handicrafts. The exact wood species and date are unknown, but the piece appears to be a lovely example of vintage Philippine devotional woodcarving.

It stands approximately 11 1/8 inches tall and is in wonderful convent-used vintage condition, with only the gentle signs of age and use one would expect from a treasured devotional piece. 

A meaningful addition to a family prayer space, home altar or Catholic collection—and an especially beautiful wedding or anniversary gift.
