Vintage Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini Convent Statue

What a beautiful and unusual convent treasure! This vintage statue depicts Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini—Mother Cabrini, wearing her traditional black religious habit and holding a quill and open book.

The Latin words on the book read, “Omnia possum in eo qui me confortat,” Mother Cabrini’s cherished motto from Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” These distinctive words help confirm her identity. 

She was discovered in the attic of a now-closed convent and measures approximately 8⅝ inches tall by 3 inches wide at the base. She has several surface chips and areas of paint loss, particularly on her face and hands, all consistent with her age and years of convent use. 

A meaningful and increasingly difficult-to-find devotional statue of America’s first canonized citizen saint—and a wonderful reminder that with Christ, we can face all things!
