Vintage Heavy Brass Closed-Church Votive Holder with Pierced Crosses

This is a beautiful vintage brass votive candle holder from a now-closed church. It is wonderfully substantial and stands 4½ inches tall.

The heavy brass holder features pierced crosses that allowed the candlelight to shine through, along with a beautifully detailed fluted base. Its traditional threaded construction, natural patina, oxidation, and remnants of candle wax reveal years of genuine church use.

It is difficult not to wonder how many prayers were offered by its gentle light over the years. What a meaningful treasure for a home altar, prayer room, or Catholic collection!

It remains in wonderful church-used condition, with age-related patina, surface wear, and wax residue that are part of its history. I have intentionally left its lovely old character intact rather than polishing it brightly.
