Vintage Hand-Painted St. Bernadette Statue – 12" | Believed to Be French

There are some sacred treasures that quietly become part of our lives for many years before it is time to pass them on.

This beautiful 12-inch hand-painted statue of St. Bernadette was one of several devotional items we were blessed to acquire from a closed convent. It later became part of my personal Catholic statue collection, where it has been lovingly kept for many years. I have always believed it to be French in origin, which makes it especially fitting for the humble saint of Lourdes.

St. Bernadette Soubirous was only 14 years old when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to her 18 times in Lourdes, France. Though poor, frail, and often misunderstood, Bernadette remained steadfast in her simple faith. Through her, Our Lady gave the world a lasting message of prayer, penance, conversion, and trust in God.

This vintage statue beautifully portrays St. Bernadette with her Rosary in hand and her eyes lifted toward heaven. Its gentle expression and hand-painted details make it a lovely addition to a prayer corner, home chapel, or Catholic collection.
