Vintage Convent St. Anthony & Child Jesus Gothic Prayer Plaque

This lovely vintage devotional plaque depicts St. Anthony of Padua tenderly holding the Child Jesus beneath a beautifully detailed Gothic-style arch. A cluster of lilies—St. Anthony’s traditional symbol of purity—rests beside him, while the inscription along the bottom reads:

“St. Anthony, pray for us.”

Measuring approximately 5½ inches tall, this treasured plaque came from a now-closed convent, where it was undoubtedly part of the sisters’ daily religious surroundings.

It appears to be made from a molded composite or resin with a warm, antiqued wood-tone finish. The reverse bears a maker’s copyright mark, although it is not clear enough to identify confidently. The number on the mark should not automatically be interpreted as a date.

It remains in lovely convent-used vintage condition, with minor age-related surface wear that only adds to its character and history. Please examine the photographs carefully.
