Vintage 1970s Saint Anne with the Child Virgin Mary Statue

Oh, Walt! 😂 He was so happy to present this beautiful statue to me—and spent a small fortune on her—because Saint Anne is my Confirmation saint and he knows how much I love offering anything connected to her.

This lovely vintage statue depicts Saint Anne tenderly teaching the young Blessed Virgin Mary. Made in Italy for Columbia Statuary during the 1970s, it stands approximately 8 inches tall and has the soft coloring and beautiful devotional detail for which these older Catholic statues are treasured.

In the interest of full disclosure, Saint Anne is missing her right hand. Honestly, neither Walt nor I noticed it immediately! It blends naturally into the folds of her garment and does not detract from the statue’s beauty unless you specifically look for it. The price reflects this imperfection.

A meaningful treasure for anyone devoted to Saint Anne, the Blessed Mother, Catholic motherhood, grandmothers, family life, or the education of children.
