Vintage 16” St. Thérèse of Lisieux Plaster Statue

Oh, this beautiful St. Thérèse needed rescuing—and, of course, Walt could not leave her behind at the antique shop. ❤️

This substantial vintage statue depicts St. Thérèse of Lisieux, our beloved Little Flower, dressed in her Carmelite habit and holding her traditional crucifix and glorious bouquet of roses. A blue rosary hangs gracefully at her side, and her open hand gives the sweetest impression that she is offering us one of her promised roses from Heaven.

She stands an impressive 16 inches tall and appears to be made of solid painted plaster or chalkware. The back bears the raised marking “C.S. 29,” which is most likely a mold or catalog designation. She has a beautifully expressive face and wonderful old-world devotional character.

As expected with an older plaster statue, she has scattered surface wear, small paint chips, and signs of age—especially around the base—but nothing that takes away from her beauty. Please look closely at the photographs, as they are part of her story and description.
