Some prayers come from a place so deep in a mother’s heart that words hardly seem enough. Prayers for a long-awaited baby, for a safe delivery, for a child we already love more than we can explain. ❤️

St. Gerard Majella is a beloved intercessor for those intentions. Known as the patron saint of expectant mothers, he is especially dear to families praying through pregnancy, childbirth, and the longing to welcome a child.

Gerard was an eighteenth-century Italian Redemptorist lay brother whose short life was marked by humility, prayer, and generous service. He carried out ordinary tasks with extraordinary love, reminding us that holiness can grow quietly through the work God places before us.

This lovely 5½-inch statue depicts him in his black religious habit, holding a gold-colored cross and a red book with white lilies. The cross recalls his devotion to Jesus, while the lilies traditionally symbolize purity.

His gentle expression makes this a meaningful piece for a bedside table or family prayer corner—a place to pause, entrust our children to God, and remember that we can ask the saints to pray alongside us.

It would make a thoughtful gift for an expectant mother, someone hoping to conceive, or a grandmother keeping her growing family close in prayer. You might include a handwritten note: “I’m praying for you and your little one.” Such a simple gift, with so much love behind it.

Approximately 5½ inches tall. Please review the photograph for details and condition.

St. Gerard, pray for mothers, babies, and all who long to welcome a child. Ask Our Lord to grant them strength, comfort, and peace.
