A Beloved Catholic Sacramental with Extraordinary Indulgences
Every Catholic should consider carrying a crucifix as a constant reminder of Christ's victory over sin and death. The Pardon Crucifix has long been treasured by the faithful, not only for its beauty but for the remarkable indulgences attached to it by Pope St. Pius X.
Throughout the history of the Church, the crucifix has been one of the most powerful symbols of our redemption. It reminds us that Christ has already conquered sin, death, and the powers of evil through His sacrifice on Calvary. Many saints and exorcists have encouraged the faithful to keep a blessed crucifix close as a source of comfort, courage, and a visible reminder to turn to Christ in every trial.
Indulgences Granted by Pope St. Pius X
Those who devoutly use the Pardon Crucifix may receive the following spiritual benefits under the conditions established by the Church:
✝️ An indulgence for carrying the Pardon Crucifix on one's person.
✝️ An indulgence for devoutly kissing the crucifix.
✝️ An indulgence each time one recites before it:
"Our Father who art in heaven, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."
or
"I beg the Blessed Virgin Mary to pray to the Lord our God for me."
✝️ A Plenary Indulgence, under the usual conditions (Sacramental Confession, Holy Communion, prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father, and complete detachment from sin), on the Feasts of the Five Wounds of Our Lord, the Finding of the Holy Cross, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Immaculate Conception, and the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
✝️ At the hour of death, one who is properly disposed, kisses the Pardon Crucifix, asks God's forgiveness for their sins, and forgives their neighbor may obtain a Plenary Indulgence according to the conditions established by the Church.
Pope St. Pius X also declared that the indulgences attached to the Pardon Crucifix may be applied to the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
Whether tucked into a purse, kept in your pocket, carried while traveling, or placed beside your bed, the Pardon Crucifix is a beautiful daily reminder to place your trust in Christ and His infinite mercy.
Each Pardon Crucifix comes carefully packaged with an information sheet explaining its history and indulgences, along with a complimentary holy card.
