Our Lady with the Christ Child “Ave Maria” Music Box

This beautiful statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child came from a now-closed convent. Our Lady and the Infant Jesus are lovingly depicted in resin, framed by a graceful ivory-and-gold surround and resting upon a rich wooden music-box base.

When wound, the music box plays “Ave Maria.” The moment I heard it, it brought tears to my eyes. There is something especially moving about knowing that this treasured piece once belonged within a convent—a home filled with the prayers and devotion of religious sisters.

It stands approximately 8 7/8 inches tall and is in wonderful convent-used condition. A truly meaningful piece for a prayer corner, bedroom, nursery, or Marian collection.
