Handcrafted from Wood Harvested from Our Historic Mission Farm

Only 7 Available

Some things are more than beautiful—they carry a story.

These extraordinary crucifixes were lovingly handcrafted by our son, Wiley Matthew, using wood harvested from our family's farm in Upstate New York—a place with a remarkable Catholic history.

Our land is the site of one of the first Jesuit missions to the Oneida people, where a church was built in the mid-1600s. It was here that Fr. Jacques Bruyas faithfully served as a missionary.

He was one of the three Jesuit priests who knew and helped preserve the story of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, and tradition holds that the Lily of the Mohawks herself spent time on this very land.

Each crucifix measures approximately 16 inches or larger and is finished with a light stain and protective lacquer, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through while ensuring it will endure for generations.

The corpus has its own story as well. My father lovingly made these crucifixes for our family years ago, and we had just seven large corpuses remaining.

When we recently looked into replacing them, we discovered that a corpus of this size alone now costs over $60.

Once these seven are gone, we simply can not recreate them in the same way.

As a final blessing, every crucifix has been reverently touched to a first-class relic of the True Cross and a first-class relic of St. Kateri Tekakwitha.

The back of each crucifix is stamped with a brief history of the land from which it came, making each one a lasting reminder of the deep Catholic heritage it represents.

It also comes ready to hang with a sturdy hook already attached.

Included with each crucifix:

✝️ One handcrafted 16"+ wooden crucifix

These are not mass-produced devotional items. They are family heirlooms, handcrafted with prayer, rooted in the history of the Catholic faith in North America, and created to be treasured for generations.

Only 7 are available. Once they are gone, they are gone forever.

Please note: Because of their large size, these crucifixes can only be shipped within the United States.
