Because I am the most impatient person I know, I wanted something that would rapidly melt away body fat and give me the energy I needed to keep up with my 13 children (and now grandchildren!) and the 382 iron's that I always have in the fire.
I have a bit of knowledge when it comes to natural herbal extracts, so I set out to find just the right combo. I wanted a formulation that would burn fat faster and more effectively. GREEN TEA EXTRACT- Clinical studies show that green tea extract boosts metabolism and helps to burn fat. Studies confirmed that the combination of green tea and caffeine (which is also contained in this formula) improved weight loss and maintenance in overweight and moderately obese individuals. The substances in green tea known as polyphenols, specifically the catechins, are responsible for the herb's fat-burning effect.
The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that green tea extract resulted in a significant increase in energy expenditure (a metabolism 'boost'). The researchers also concluded that that over a 24-hour period, green tea extract increases the metabolic rate by 4%. Scientists studied the biological effects of an extract of white tea, which is the least processed version of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. The results of the study published in BioMed Central's open access journal Nutrition and Metabolism show this herbal extract effectively inhibits the generation of new human fat cells (adipocytes). What's more, the researchers found that it stimulates fat mobilization from mature fat cells. In other words, white tea appears to zap excess fat. Awesome!
EVODIA RUTAECARPA EXTRACT-You may not have heard of this little gem...but it works and that is why it's in the formula! Chinese herbalists have used this for centuries as a weight loss supplement. Based on studies done in laboratories using isolated cells and rodents this extract can raise body temperature (which helps with weight loss). Evodiamine stimulates the vanilloids to reduce the uptake of fat and increase the natural rate of burning fat.
Recent scientific studies have backed up this traditional knowledge. Mammals fed a high-fat diet plus evodiamine actually lose, rather than gain weight. This herbal extract is a mild, yet remarkable stimulant that has shown positive energy and diuretic characteristics. Even more exciting is its unique ability to significantly elevate the production of body heat and increase resting core temperature. This thermogenic effect can lead to an increase in the calories and fat that are burned for energy.

WHITE WILLOW EXTRACT - In combination with other dietary supplements white willow extends or increases the activity of several thermogenic ingredients in elevating energy expenditure and promoting fat metabolism by raising the metabolic rate. It also enhances the action of other herbs.
ASPIDOSPERMA QUEBRACHO-BLANCO EXTRACT - Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco extract (commonly called quebracho) comes from the bark of an evergreen tree that grows in the northern regions of Argentina. The primary active ingredient in aspidosperma is "yohimbe"
Yohimbe and other alkaloids in the bark extract are said to block specific receptors that actually inhibit fat loss. A three-week study in 1991 observed 20 obese females on 1,000-calorie diets. They were given 20 mg of yohimbe each day and lost three pounds more than the group receiving placebos. Other studies have found that yohimbe increases the amount of non-esterfied fatty acids, a result of fat breaking down.
DMAE - Oh what a wonderful thing! Not only does it help with healthy weight loss and fat burning it helps improve one’s mood! Can you say AMEN, ladies? Higher DMAE doses can block the acetylcholine receptor. When the acetylcholine receptor is blocked more dopamine is released. DMAE is also a safer alternative to many prescriptions and does not have harmful side effects when taken properly. However, schizophrenic, epileptic, and manic depressed people should avoid DMAE.
INULA RACEMOSA EXTRACT - Inula racemosa is an herb that grows in high mountain areas and is often used for medicinal purposes. The root has been used for centuries in Eastern cultures to treat coughs and support a healthy cardiovascular system. It's found in many weight-loss pills in the U.S. because it stimulates weight loss. Inula Racemosa contains alantolactone, which enhances insulin sensitivity. This means, you secrete less insulin after eating and less of the meal is stored as dietary fat.
TROXERUTIN - Troxerutin a derivative of the natural bioflavonoid Rutin extracted from Sophora japonica. Helps increase muscle size, strength, and definition. I've noticed that my body has definitely started to "take shape" and I am physically able to endure more outside work (ever push mow a lawn for 3 hours and feel great after doing it? Well..finally I feel great after doing it! LOL).
CNIDIUM MONNIERI EXTRACT - Cnidium Monnier is a Chinese herb that has been used for centuries. It shows promise in the areas of osteoporosis, allergies and carcinoma research. In the East they use it for its gentle strengthening effect on the entire body by promoting vigor and a sense of well-being. It is also said to stimulate the digestive process.
YOHIMBE EXTRACT - Yohimbine has been found to increase lipolysis by increasing the release of norepinephrine available to fat cells and blocking alpha-2 receptor activation. Yohimbe works to shut down the body's natural roadblocks against weight loss.
CAFFEINX- Also known as Caffeine Anhydrous. Each capsule is equivalent to 2 cups of coffee (110 mg). Personally, I think caffeine has gotten a bad rap. It was a huge help in my weight loss ( or should I say continued weight loss). We used 100% pure anhydrous caffeine in this formulation to help deliver the energy that most of us lack! Sometimes I have so much energy at the end of the day I MUST walk or get on the elliptical to burn it off. It also helps increase stamina, endurance, mental focus (I no longer have "mommy foggy brain") while speeding up the metabolism and stimulating fat loss! And if that weren't enough...they've been studying caffeine (again!), and this time, the news is all good! Once maligned as all-around bad for you, the lively substance has now been given a clean bill of health by ... well, everyone: the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Surgeon General, National Academy of Science, American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, National Cancer Institute, The Centers for Disease Control, American Cancer Society, National Research Council on Diet and Health, International Food Information Council, the Framingham Heart Study, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, and scores of researchers. While none of the research reports flat-out recommends caffeine as a weight-loss/control catalyst, but the implications are pretty clear.
How does it work? It breaks down fat, freeing fatty acids which are immediately burned. Conversion of fat to energy is about 30 percent more efficient when caffeine is consumed prior to exercise. But note...the break-down, and the burning, occur only when you're in action! While the fat is being burned, the glycogen, glucose, and amino acids (blood sugars) are being reserved -- so blood sugar levels remain higher for longer. Low blood sugar = hunger; high glucose staves starving. This is why coffee is popular among students, think-tankers and MOMS like me! The brain functions exclusively on glucose, and higher blood sugar levels facilitate thinking.
XANTHINOL NICOTINATE - Xanthinol nicotinate is a very potent, water soluble form of niacin. Due to its potency, nicotinate has the ability to pass through the cell membranes at a much quicker rate than other forms of niacin. Niacin is also known as Vitamin B3, and is necessary for the body to perform all of its natural functions. The body requires a constant flow of B3 because it does not retain it in storage for later use. The easiest way to ensure proper levels of niacin in the body is to regularly consume it in supplement form, especially since the absorption rate of xanthinol nicotinate is so quick. It's the reason we made sure it was in the formula! Studies suggest it may have health benefits of blood pressure, lipid-lowering effects. It may also have benefits of memory enhancement.
CODONOPSIS PILOSULA EXTRACT -Pharmacological research has confirmed that the herb promotes digestion and metabolism and helps to strengthen the immune system. Traditionally it has been used to promote digestion and it also cleanses the intestinal tract! Talk about a multi-tasking extract!
**Please, note: My customers are like family to me, so I want to make this point clear. This is not a magic weight loss kit. These are "tools". You must work with them. If there were such a thing as a "magic pill", I'd be uber wealthy.
Just like any tool, you must pick it up and work with it. A hammer doesn't do any good just sitting there...yet, if you pick it up and work with it, you can build a house! I don't want anyone to ever have any false expectations.
If you sincerely want to lose weight..get the kit and/or capsules, change your diet to one of mainly veggies, meat, berries...ditch the grains and as much sugar as you possibly can...drink more water and you WILL lose weight! I'm living breathing proof :)

HOW SHOULD I GET STARTED?
To those getting started this is the protocol I followed:
I started with the colon cleanse first (for two weeks).
I used the appetite control oil immediately and continually.
I waited until the colon cleanse was done and then I started the weight loss pill. You may choose to start it with the colon cleanse, it is up to you. 08-12 *UPDATE: I recommend starting BOTH together!
DID YOU CHANGE WHAT YOU ATE? I cut back on carbs...and ate more protein. I said goodbye to white sugar and white flour. I eat mainly veggies, fruits (limited) and clean meat (organic when I can). I never go back for seconds and I leave at least 1/4 of my food on the plate. I now control the food and not the other way around! 08-12 *UPDATE: I am working on the final bits and pieces of my 2 week jumpstart plan for you! It will include recipes and tips to get you quickly on your way! Keep this in prayer....I'm here to help YOU!
DO I HAVE TO EAT LIKE YOU TO LOSE WEIGHT? NO! My husband was inspired by my weight loss and started using the tools in the weight loss kit. He has lost almost 30 pounds in 3 months and HE didn't give up white sugar or white flour...in fact, he still gets to eat dessert! Yeah, no fair. LOL. That being said..everyone is different. See what works for you. The tools in the kit WILL help! I also started walking more and even use an ellipitical on occasion. I will admit, I do nothing that could even be remotely considered a "work out" ;-). Yet...I feel it is IMPORTANT to get MOVING! 08-12 *UPDATE: The ellipitical has gathered dust and makes a great clothes hanger...lol. I've found exercises I can actually do while working at my desk! More on this later. Exercise has never been my thing...I'd rather read a book (I'm a bibliophile!)
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I REACH GOAL WEIGHT? When you do reach goal weight, just find out what you can add back in without making the scales go up ;-). For instance, perhaps you can eat toast with your egg and still remain the same weight...where as before you might have only been able to have eggs. Also...when you reach this point, weighing yourself every other day is a good idea. If you vary more than a pound or two...tweak the food intake. While still losing weight I recommend only once a week weigh ins. 08-12*UPDATE: I REACHED MY GOAL WEIGHT THIS MONTH! 90 pounds shed! I have noticed my body is very sensitive to carbs....the more carbs I eat..the more water weight I retain (carbo HYDRATE....we retain more water to digest one!) My body has taken to a paleolithic type diet and I will explain more about this on our MomOf13 website.
WHEN CAN I STOP TAKING THE WEIGHT LOSS CAPSULES? I recommend that folks stop taking them when they get to goal weight. I have actually cut myself back to just one a day instead of two ;-) A bottle now lasts me two months. The weight is now coming off without the extra assistance I needed previously. 08-12*UPDATE: As mentioned above..I reached my goal weight! 90 pounds shed and I feel like a new woman! I no longer need to take the weight loss pill. It is a great kick start for your metabolism so I highly recommend it. I do have a few ladies who still take it afterwards to give them energy...lol
SHOULD I DRINK MORE WATER? YES!!! It will actually help you lose weight!
The general rule of thumb is that a person should drink eight - 8 ounce glasses of water per day. Of course, don't drink it all at once!
Drinking a lot of water isn’t a bad idea (of course you can overdo it..but.most folks are chronically dehydrated!).. It won’t make you fat. It won’t rot your teeth or give you a hang-over. Drinking lots of water can temporarily assuage hunger pangs, which I find quite useful while losing weight! It can also help prevent kidney stones in those susceptible to them (like myself! Haven't had any problems!). Drinking more can also ease constipation and—ironically—also alleviate water retention! Amen!
DOES GOD REALLY CARE?
I say yes. More on this below...but..first..let me get personal for a moment. I found that being overweight was destroying my body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit! My temple was a horrible mess and diabetes, high bp and other issues would surely be visiting me soon as my numbers were creeping up.Being overweight also was stealing my energy, my zeal for life, and my ability to serve the Lord mentally, spiritually and physically. Not only that...I knew it was public proof of my lack of self-control! I knew I had to do something. How could I be an example and testimony to others when I was such a mess?
The bottom line for me was the fact that God regards gluttony as a serious offense which is linked with stubbornness, rebellion, disobedience, and drunkenness. Fortunately for me, we are no longer under old covenant rule, so I didn't have to suffer a few stones upside my head ;-).
DID I EXERCISE?
Did I do any exercise? Shoot...NOT TO START! I could barely look at the elliptical my husband bought me back in March. In fact...I barely got on it and when I did, it was only for a few minutes. I did virtually NOTHING because my back hurt so much...everything hurt..and besides..I WAS TIRED! Speed forward 4 months later. Now I'm always "moving. You know Newton's Law of Motion? I'm a living example of it! A body that is at rest will stay at rest unless a force acts upon it (this is where I kicked my resting body into action with the kit!). A body that is in motion will stay in motion!
Well..I'm finally in motion!
My favorite exericise is still not the elliptical as I love the outdoors (the elliptical is great for drying my cotton shirts though! ). I am a mad woman behind the push mower. I started out mowing once a week to see if I could do it. I did about 30 min. pushing before I was ready to call 911. Now..I do almost 2 hours and my husband has to come fetch me (usually because everyone needs something to eat..Lol).
(UPDATE: It's now almost January and I'm not mowing the lawn...lol. I discovered I had a passion for ballroom dancing and that's what Walt and I do together as a couple. Don't ask me how I managed to talk a former football player into putting on dance shoes and twirling me around a dance floor...my secret..LOL) So...bottom line..I started out doing nothing and as I lost the weight I gradually started moving and haven't stopped. I suggest that you try to lose a bit of weight first and worry about the exercise later.
HAS ANYONE ELSE TRIED IT?

Our spiritual lives are of the utmost importance, but our bodies are not to be neglected. Our bodies are the physical means which we have been given to present ourselves to the world as a witness to God's glory. St. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 to GLORIFY GOD in OUR BODY!
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body." I certainly was not glorifying God in my body..that's for sure!

I feel so healthy again!
Before I lost the weight I didn't even want to be seen in public. I was on the verge of being majorly depressed (and I'm generally a very happy person!). My weight was bogging me down physically, mentally and yes..spiritually!
So, I have a HEART for those who are suffering from being overweight (especially other mothers!).
That being said, one thing I've noted is the fact that most folks are losing 10-15 pounds their first month. So..it does work well. The vast majority have also reported increased energy (one lady wrote me and said she hadn't had that much energy in 52 years! lol) So...maybe I should call it my energy and weight loss capsule ;-0.

Here is an article on weight loss tips that I wrote back in the Spring of 2012. I have since lost all the weight and kept it off. Here are some tips! Remember...what I offer above is to HELP YOU...they are TOOLS! Ultimately, there are no magic pills..you must work with the tools! Kind of like building a house. You can have every tool known to man..but..if you are not willing to pick up the hammer and put a little effort in..it will never happen! :)
There are many reasons you need to increase your water intake while trying to lose weight:
1. Your initial weight loss will be mostly water. If you don’t drink, you dehydrate..plain and simple.
2. You can’t burn calories if you don’t have enough water in your body. In fact, if you don’t have an adequate supply of water in your body, you’ll be dehydrated and this will slow down the fat-burning process. Trust me I know! I am a huge coffee addict and when I replaced some of my coffee with water, I dropped quite a few pounds!
3. Ollie Ollie Toxin Free! Unfortunately, a side effect of burning calories is the creation of toxins. YOU NEED WATER TO FLUSH THE TOXINS OUT OF YOUR BODY! Don’t flush and you know what happens? Ahem. I’ll leave that to your imagination
4. Drinking more water fills you up! That’s where my motto comes in….DRINK MORE, EAT LESS! I noticed my hunger pains were satiated when I drank a glass or two of water.
5. I know that most of us learned that we should drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day….but…not one size fits all (trust me I know!) How much water you actually need depends on your weight, level of activity, the temperature and and your diet. The method I tell folks to use is to take their current body weight and divide it by 2. This will give you the number of ounces of water you should drink each day.
A good way to tell if you are on target is if your urine is pale yellow. Little did I realize that for almost 44 years I had been dehydrated! When in doubt, drink a little more!
6. Most people tell me they are worried that drinking water will give their body a bloated look. There are a number of causes of water retention, including consuming too much salt. But drinking water is not one of them. One caution I recently discovered regarding sodium. If you have a “water softener”…switch to a different water source. The salt from our “water softener” was causing me to retain water! I switched and lost 3 pounds immediately!
7. Caution! It is possible to harm yourself by drinking too much water. Spread your intake of water throughout the day. That being said, it takes a whole lot of effort to actually drink too much water.
8. If you are like me an you simply must have your coffee and wine (both diuretics)… drink more water to compensate.
If you do drink any form of alcohol…make it a ratio of one glass of water to one glass of wine (or what have you). While on a diet…I suggest giving up the alcohol at least for a few months. I went without it for the first 5 months and I’m here to say it didn’t kill me.
9. You’ve heard over and over again what you should do to start your day. I’m here to tell you to start it with two things before anything else….The first is PRAYER and the second is a big glass of water!
