Why St. Margaret of Cortona? Because she is the PATRON SAINT AGAINST TEMPTATION!
St. Margaret can help us AVOID the temptation if only we call upon her!
St. Margaret was very disciplined. She fasted rigorously in order to control the flesh and avoid temptation! What better saint to call upon?

Let us be support for each other while we seek St. Margaret of Cortona's intercession!
This Special St. Margaret of Corotona Weight Loss Package includes all of the following:
St. Margaret of Cortona Chaplet Beads. This is a wonderful chaplet which is especially good in seeking St. Margaret's intercession for relief against temptation. We include information on how to pray this beautiful and powerful chaplet! Each set of chaplet beads is specially handcrafted (we will pray for you while making them!)
Special St. Margaret of Cortona Prayer Cloth!
** A prayer cloth with St. Margaret's image on it. **A prayer cloth history. **A full color Holy Card. **A special medal.
A bottle of Holy Oil. Blessed oil has been the vehicle for many spiritual conversions and physical cures. Dieting is a "physical" issue and that is why we include the oil in this package. You may bless yourself, or someone else, with the Blessed Olive Oil. Some of the greatest miracles are worked through the humble instrument of the anointing oil! An important point to remember is that there must be faith in the person praying and in the person prayed for. As our gift to you, we will have a priest bless this pure olive oil for you to use for anointing. This package comes with a history sheet all about Holy Oil, Special Prayer and a bottle of this oil that we will have blessed for you as our gift to you!
A package of Blessed Salt. We will have this Powerful Sacramental blessed for you before we ship it! (getting it blessed is our GIFT to you!) This salt in cooking can bring astonishing spiritual & physical benefits. Once again, dieting is a "physical" issue and that is why we include this! As with the use of Sacraments, much depends on the faith and devotion of person using it. We will include an information sheet about its history and how to use it! We should make use of this very old and powerful sacramental in times of sickness.
Bottle of Holy Water with exorcism blessing. Bless yourself before each meal (or when you are tempted to over eat or eat between meals!). Holy Water is powerful!
St. Margaret of Cortona can be our Heavenly Helper, but we can also have an earthly helper! I find that it is a blessing to have both :-).
Folks have asked me for suggestions on how to use the St. Margaret of Cortona package. Here are a few suggestions:
1) Pray the chaplet each morning (some folks are praying it before each meal).
2) Use the blessed salt on your meals (it truly helps!)
3) Keep her prayer cloth in sight. Some folks set it next to them at each meal (if you spill something on it, use a damp cloth to remove it). Other folks have put it in a frame in the kitchen.
4) Some folks bless themselves with the Holy Water and/or the Holy Oil before eating (good idea).
Here is a newsletter I wrote in July of 2014 about my journey and how I can help YOU!
I have struggled with my weight for over half of my adult life. In fact, I spent the better part of my adult life morbidly obese.
I know most of you have heard my story and how I overcame being a size 22/24 and now I'm down to a size 6.
It wasn't easy and my heart goes out to those who are struggling....I know with every fiber of my being that I can help those who are ready to wrap their minds around it!
Here is a picture from the other day (July 6th, 2014). We invited my mother in love (she just turned 80!) up for a family picnic. She is holding my youngest grandson.
I remember saying to her...just three years ago..."What am I going to do? I'm sooooo overweight and miserable!"
She told me she knew if I put my mind to it, I could lose weight if I wanted..but assured me I looked lovely. She is such a sweetheart...lol :)
Problem was...I was starting to lose my health and I knew I had to get my mind wrapped around it quick or end up on medication(s).
Losing weight has a PHYSICAL, MENTAL & SPIRITUAL component and that is why I decided to bring back our St. Margaret of Cortona Dieting Weight Loss package.
I truly believe we can not lose weight and keep it off unless we engage our mind, body & soul in battling gluttony (and quite frankly, I didn't want to think I was a glutton...but I was).
I'm not going to be too popular when I mention that gluttony is a sin that most of us would like to ignore. I have a priest friend who is the same age as I am and he admitted that he was in denial as well.
I was often quick to label those with "other addictions" as sinful....but for some reason my overeating was considered "tolerable".
I always thought...wow..I feel sorry for my friend's husband who is drinking a 12 pack of beer each night...he's ruining his health. **I** was ruining **my** health as much as he was ruining his..but..in a different way!
. Denial was my biggest enemy. I had totally convinced myself that I did NOT overeat! I look back and think...whoa...seriously?
When I get folks who try to tell me that I need to concentrate on the spiritual things only...I assure them them that the Lord has something to say about this.
In Proverbs 23:20-21 it says “Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.”
Proverbs 23:2 takes it one step further and says.... “Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.”
Physical appetites are an analogy of our ability to control ourselves. I was unable to control my eating habits..instead, I let denial set in. This was also indicative of being unable to control other habits, such as those of the mind (lust, covetousness, anger) not that I had to deal with all of those issues...but..you get the idea.
We can not let our "appetites" control us, but we are to have control over our appetites. The ability to say “no” to anything in excess is one of the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22)
So....bottom line...I had been morbidly obese for over half of my life. I was a glutton and I still am dealing with other areas of "excess"...but..at least I've conquered one and I'm here to help others!
There are no magic pills. You have to work at it...but..I can offer you "aid".
If you want something to help you with the "Spiritual" aspect of dealing with being overweight...I have brought back my St. Margaret of Cortona Dieting Weight Loss Package
If you want something to help you with the "Physical" aspect of dealing with being overweight...I have our Weight Loss kit (which another priest friend used to lose almost 100 pounds!)
Bottom line..nothing is going to change until we realize that we need to address this issue on all levels. Until I got my mind wrapped around it...nothing was happening. I had to finally come to the point of a health crisis to do something.
I really do want to help people. I DO NOT want anyone to order anything unless they have their "mind" wrapped around losing weight. If you're mind is ready and you are committed to losing weight....I"m here for you!
