    As the sun began its descent, casting a warm, golden light across the rye field, I sat on the front porch in my rocking chair last night, the rhythmic creak offering a soothing echo to the evening's tranquility.
    .
    Nearly forty years ago, Walt and I dreamed of this pastoral life, our hearts entwined with hopes and prayers for a simpler, more serene existence.
    .
    We asked God for a place where we could raise our thirteen children away from the clamor of the city, a haven where faith and family could flourish.
    .
    Each day, as we worked and prayed, the dream felt distant, almost unreachable.
    Yet God, in His boundless mercy, heard our fervent pleas.
    .
    He granted us not just a farm, but a piece of land imbued with sacred history—the site of one of the first Jesuit Missions to the Indians.
    .
    Reading the cherished journals of Fr. Bruyas, who was one of the priests who discovered St. Kateri Tekakwitha...I can't help but to feel her presence on the farm.
    .
    The field before me is more than just crops swaying in the breeze...it is a testament to God’s providence, a living reminder of His grace and generosity.
    .
    We only sought a refuge to nurture our family, and in His divine wisdom, He bestowed upon us a treasure far beyond our deserving.
    .
    In this sacred space, with the sun setting gently over the rye, I reflect on how immeasurably blessed we are.
    .
    God’s gifts are indeed more abundant than we ever dreamed or imagined ❤️

    Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.

    L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!



    From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
