Envy will eat away at your soul

Envy will eat away at your soul and that is why it is one of the seven capital sins.

I believe that in our current times, economic envy is perhaps the most prevalent...but..it takes many forms.

There are those who are envious in regards to our attention when it isn't focused on them.

Then there are those who are envious of power.... even the apostles quarreled over it. There are many ways to be envious and all of them will eat at your soul.Image may contain: 1 person

Envy can easily become the rule of life...and it will rule you and you'll just become more bitter and not focused on storing up your Treasures in Heaven...where neither moth nor rust can destroy it or thieves can steal it.

Doesn't matter who you are I am sure that you have experienced envy on some level.

Jesus knows what is best for us. Those who envy the wealthy person may have well lost their souls if in the possession of the same wealth....and envy never thinks of the great responsibilities that go with it....it is so easy to misuse it.

Envy is also the source of wrong judgments. The majority of the time you are misjudging the character of that person and sometimes we may fall prey to opening our mouths and committing the sin of calumny.

We need to focus our eyes on heaven and not on others. Also remember if they will gossip to you they will gossip about you.You will not find peace where you find envy.

Venerable Fulton Sheen once said...it should be consolation for those who are so unjustly attacked to remember that it is a physical impossibility for any man to get ahead of us who stays behind us to kick us. Amen ♡
