Daily Encouragement & Specials- When a fever can kill

    +JMJ

    Dear family,

We are only $4,800 away from getting Hanna Rose her much needed device.

Here is a picture of my friend Carla and sweet Hanna Rose.

That being said...something as benign as a fever can land a child with Harlequin Ischthyiosis in the hospital as they can’t sweat/thermoregulate.

They know the hospital all too well.

I know, as a mom of 13 children, how many fevers we have had to tend to.

Fortunately, all of my children were able to ride them out at home.

Carla has a lot on her plate and I pray we can raise enough funds to lighten her load.

    ----------------------From Yesterday--------------------

Hanna Rose was born with Harlequin Ichthyosis in May of 2020 and her parents were blessed to be able to adopt her the next month (I know her mom).
    .
Harlequin ichthyosis is a severe genetic disorder that affects the skin.
    .
Infants with this condition are born prematurely with very hard, thick skin covering most of their bodies. The skin forms large, diamond-shaped plates that are separated by deep cracks (fissures).
    .
The prognosis is very poor. Most affected babies do not survive beyond the first week of life. It has been reported that the survival rate varies from 10 months to 25 years with supportive treatment depending on the severity of the condition.
    .
This condition is characterized by defective keratinization and desquamation of the epidermis which is very painful.
    .
Her first year of life was challenging, consisting of 6 months in two different NICU’s, then constant GI issues and a demanding skin care regimen.
    .
Now at age 2 1/2 she is still G-Tube fed but is walking and singing her ABC’s and counting to 20.
    .
Her current bathing/skin care regimen takes several hours a day and as a toddler she appropriately protests!
    .
Her parents were blessed to learn of an amazing device which would shorten the time needed for care and decrease her pain & discomfort and the invasive nature of her current regimen AND decrease the possibility of infections.
    .
They have not been able to get the insurance to agree to cover this device so WE are stepping in.
    .

I am begging you to help if you can.

I will send you a bag of gifts equal to your help!

We have the ability to decrease the possibility of dangerous infections that Hanna Rose faces!
    .
I pray I can get enough folks to help me to cover the cost of this device.

    ---HELP IF YOU CAN----

Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.

L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital st

ay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!

From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
