Dear family,

Sometimes folks forget that we are to help bear one anothers burdens.

It is much easier to just do nothing.

Living among the Amish I see how they yoke two animals together to pull a load.

I learned that it is because the older stronger animal is already trained and can show the younger one how to learn the proper pulling method....besides, it is easier when more than one is shouldering the burden.

Isn't this what we are supposed to do as Christians?

In the past, I have mentioned the armchair critics.

These are not the people we learn anything from...other than how to be negative, lazy, gossipy and sometimes just plain old annoying.

When you see somebody suffering, you cannot ignore it.

We were all at one time the younger weaker person.

It was some wise women in my life who taught me how to pull the burden and then how to help others.

I learned to follow their actions and now that I am that 55 year old woman... I am spending the rest of my life...here in the city of man.. helping others along the way to the city of God.
