Daily Encouragement & Specials- Keep Your Distance!

Daily Encouragement & Specials- Keep Your Distance!

    +JMJ

    Dear family,

Who you hang with will have a direct influence on you (and definitely your offspring)...good or bad.

My mind immediately goes to my gardens to demonstrate this point.

    Squash loves to cross-pollinate.

Some funky and scary looking pumpkins have been created in the past 🤣

When different squash hang out together, they literally take on traits from the others.

Your first line of defense in preventing this is space!

A good rule of thumb is at least a half-mile!

In other words, keep the others at a great distance!

We also need to keep great distance from those people and things that would not be good for our souls.

Sending our love and prayers to our remnant family...Wendy, Walt and the entire Cukierski family

    1. What is potassium iodide and what is it used for?

Potassium iodide (KI) is a chemical compound that can be used to protect the thyroid gland from possible radiation injury caused by radioactive iodine (radioiodine). Some radiological emergencies may release large amounts of radioiodine to the environment. Since iodine concentrates in the thyroid gland, inhalation or ingestion of food contaminated with the radioiodine can lead to radiation injury to the thyroid. This includes increased risk of thyroid cancer and other thyroid diseases.

    2. How does it work?

Taking KI saturates the thyroid gland with stable (non-radioactive) iodine. This prevents or reduces the amount of radioiodine that can be taken up by the thyroid.

    3. When should it be taken?

To be most effective, KI should be taken before or shortly after exposure to radioiodine. Even if taken three to four hours after exposure, it still would reduce the uptake of radioiodine by the thyroid. However, its effectiveness would be reduced.

    4. Is there a shelf life?

The shelf life approved by FDA for different manufacturers of the drug ranges from five to seven years. However, if properly stored (protected from air, heat, light and moisture), KI can maintain its form for many years without significant degradation.

    ---HELP IF YOU CAN----

Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.

L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!

From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!

Kindly, head HERE.  We always send a nice gift for your help
