Dear family,
I am so attracted to joyful Catholics....their spirit is so vivacious! Who wouldn't want to be so full of joy in a world of sadness?
They are obviously fueled by a loving relationship with God! Jesus is the light in their lives and belonging to the Church gives them great joy and peace ♡ I call them the ultimate faithful Catholics ♡
Which brings me to my "moon" analogy. The Church has no other light than Christ's, according to a favorite image of the Church Fathers, the Church is like the moon, all its light reflected from the sun (...this is from the Catechism of the Catholic Church 748).
On a personal note, I have always had a huge fascination with the moon.... especially on a dark night. In fact, in my front flower bed I have a plant called Moon Flower and I have my little owl sitting next to the huge white, fragrant flowers. You see the moon relies on the light of the sun (son)...the sun is so strong that the light even bounces of the moon...all the way to Earth thousands of miles away!
I feel like we all need to be like the moon and let the SON (the light of Jesus Christ) bounce from us!

Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.
L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!
From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
