Dear family,
UPDATE 03-20-24
Coping with a bit of grief, today....
Yesterday, I found out my friend (a year younger than me!) had passed away...she was always so fun and full of life. I cry knowing that there will be no more hugs, or singing of 1970's commercials... on this side of the "veil".
Last week, my Aunt (who reminded me of my mother) passed into eternity. A beautiful and fun loving fashionista with a strong personality...and she loved my kids! She had beat ovarian cancer and many other life threatening illnesses...it's hard to believe she actually succumbed to something (she was a fighter!)
A few days after I fell and broke my humerus, our family friend (who visited us often) fell down her stairs and passed into eternity. She was such a kind, quiet, and loving soul. She loved all of our kids and our animals. Her husband is one of Walt's best friends.
I had to remind myself that even Jesus grieved, so my tears and sadness were only natural and not a sign of weakness.
We see Jesus weeping at the tomb of Lazarus before he is raised from the dead (John 11:35).
When we love others, we will end up grieving when they pass....we feel as though we have been robbed of the people we love.
Our humanness feels the loss of their earthly presence...but I truly feel there is but a thin veil that separates us.
They are with us in ways that our human eyes can not see.
I extend a warm hug and prayers, if YOU are grieving ((hugs))

I am begging for your help with The Pediatric Giving Mission.
---HELP IF YOU CAN----
Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.
L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!
From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
