EIEIO!
As much
as we love tending to the Apostolate, we also have other things
we tend to! One of the many things we do is operate our Family
Farm. We're busy from sun-up to sundown, but it is a good and
wholesome way of life for our 13 children and we all love it!
We would like to share some pictures of our farm with you! ENJOY!

Before
I forget! We have family blog! You can check it out here: http://cukierskifamily.blogspot.com
Grab
yourself a cup of coffee and I'll tell you a bit more about
our
GREAT BIG FAMILY of 15...
Re: the
picture on the right. Here are just a few of our "blessings"...six
of the thirteen to be exact. They immediately received haircuts
after this picture. We didn't realize that some of them were
sporting the "scary hair" look. :-)
How do I
describe us?
Well, we're
not quite like the Duggar's
(Lord knows I wish I were more patient like Michelle Duggar.
I just love that family!)
and we're definitely not like Jon & Kate plus 8.
(need I explain that one? LOL. Let's not forget to pray
for them!)
We're just your average family of 15.
(2 unworthy parents blessed with 12 boys, 1 girl and a whole
lot of love!)
Have we been asked to do tv?
Yes, but we declined for several reasons.
Do you know any of those "big families" on
tv?
We sure do. It was through those families that we learned why
we wouldn't want to
do tv.
BUT....
We don't
mind sharing our life with you on our website (to protect our
children of course!).
We truly want you to get to know us better. We also would like
to get to know YOU, better!
Now for some frequently asked questions:
Q.How many eggs do you cook for breakfast?
A. Well, most of our children are still little, so we only make
about 18 eggs for breakfast.
Q. How many gallons of milk do you go through each day?
A. We usually go through 2 gallons a day. We now have dairy
goats and that has helped
the grocery bill.
Q. What is your grocery bill?
A. Honestly, I can't quite figure it anymore. We now have the
farm and try to be as self-sufficient as possible. We get our
cows from our neighbor and are now butchering our own chickens.
My husband and older boys hunt, so we have plenty of venison,
turkey, partridge, etc. Veggies are grown here on the farm (potatoes
are one of our staples!) and we can and freeze them after the
harvest. Our dairy goats give us milk and our chickens give
us eggs.
If I were to go buy all that we need, I dare say the bill would
tally somewhere around $2,000+ per month. ack!
Q. What does it cost you to go out to eat?
A. Well, we make one day a week our "pizza night"
and have started bringing it home to save money. When we eat
it at the pizza place, it costs us about $120!
When we bring it home to eat, it costs us $70 or less. A huge
savings! I know some folks will say "make your own pizza"...well,
I do...but sometimes Mama needs a break :-).
Q.
You must be so patient?!
A. Well, er..um..not really. Maybe I am patient to a point...but
I wish I were more patient like Michelle Duggar (18 kids and
counting). I dare say she has never let a "choice"
word fly or totally lost her cool. I'm working on it. I'm a
faulty human trying to become more saintly (quit laughing, friends
and family! LOL). Wish it weren't so hard! I can see the episode
now, "Devout Catholic mother loses her cool." ack.
I would be mortified. We'll stick to the website :-)
Q.
Why do you have so many kids?!
A. I was bored of looking so wonderful in my bikini. (okay,
okay..I'm only joking..but that is what I usually tell people.
I don't wear bikini's anyways..they're quite immodest)
More Q &
A when Mama gets time ;-)
