Traditional Monthly and Daily Devotions of the Church
Every month of the year is dedicated to a particular devotion within the Catholic faith. The following are the common, widespread
Catholic devotions for each month throughout the year:
January - Holy Name of Jesus
February - Dedicated to The Holy Family
March - Saint Joseph
April - The Holy Eucharist
May - Blessed Virgin Mary
June - Sacred Heart of Jesus
July - The Precious Blood
August - Immaculate Heart of Mary
September - Seven Dolours (Sorrows) of Mary
October - The Holy Rosary
November - The Holy Souls in Purgatory
December - The Divine Infancy (or The Immaculate Conception)
Additionaly, each day of the week has a traditional devotion attached. Here are the traditional dedications for every day of the week:
Sunday - The Most Holy Trinity and The Resurrection
Monday - The Holy Spirit and The Holy Souls in Purgatory
Tuesday - The Holy Angels and The Holy Face
Wednesday - Saint Joseph
Thursday - The Blessed Sacrament
Friday - The Passion of Our Lord and The Sacred Heart of Jesus
Saturday - The Blessed Virgin Mary and The Immaculate Heart of Mary
